Group Dining in Santa Rosa

No occasion required — just enough people to share the whole table.

Downtown Santa Rosa

For whenever the table is bigger than usual.

Not every large table is a birthday or a wedding — sometimes it's just six or ten people who wanted to eat together. Kalimera Bar & Grill handles groups this size regularly, without needing a formal event booking.

The practical part

Call ahead once you're past six or seven.

For a table of six or seven, a normal reservation through OpenTable usually covers it. Once a group grows past that, a quick call to (707) 308-4928 lets the kitchen know what's coming and get the right table ready.

If you'd rather book something more formal — a reserved space, a set menu, a specific time window — that's what the Events page and its inquiry form are for. This page is for the simpler version: a big table, a normal night.

Kalimera's small patio at the B Street entrance can take a portion of a larger group who'd rather sit outside, though it isn't sized to hold an entire big party by itself.

Ordering for a group

Three ways to keep it simple.

One or two Passport Boards per few guests, set down the middle of the table instead of everyone ordering separately. The Kalimera Feast, built as one set order for four, just gets ordered twice for a table of eight or twelve. Past about ten guests, buffet service is simpler for the kitchen and for you than tracking individual orders — ask about current packages.

Good to know

Before you show up with a crowd.

A phone call ahead of time is the single most useful thing you can do for a table of eight or more — it's the difference between waiting on a table to be pushed together and one that's already set. Splitting the check is fine; just mention it when you sit down rather than after the meal.

Bringing a crowd

Call ahead, or plan something more formal.

For a normal big table, a call to the restaurant is enough. If you want a reserved space or a set menu instead, the Events page covers that version.

Group Dining FAQ

Questions

Do I need a reservation for a large group at Kalimera?

A reservation is strongly recommended for tables of 8 or more — call or book through OpenTable with your headcount so the restaurant can prepare the right table.

Is there a private room for groups?

Private and semi-private space depends on the date, time and party size. Contact the restaurant to check availability for your group.

What's the easiest way to order for a big table?

Passport Boards or the Kalimera Feast simplify ordering for a group — a few shared boards across the table instead of individual entrees. Past about 10 guests, buffet packages are usually simpler.

Can part of our group sit on the patio?

Kalimera has a small patio at the B Street entrance. It works well for a smaller portion of a larger group who would rather sit outside, though it is not sized for a full large party on its own.

Is there a minimum group size for buffet pricing?

Buffet packages are generally practical starting around 10 guests. Smaller groups are usually better served by Passport Boards or the Kalimera Feast.
