Chef Kara's journey began in Turkey, growing up between Istanbul and Kahramanmaraş surrounded by the flavors of Merkaro.
In 2009 he joined Celebrity Cruises, where he began developing his professional culinary discipline, while learning English and working alongside international chefs.
In 2017 he arrived in California with little more than a suitcase and years of experience in kitchens across the Mediterranean.
Chef Kara refined his technique working with chefs trained in European fine dining kitchens.
Mediterranean cuisine became the foundation of his philosophy — vibrant ingredients, balanced flavors and generous hospitality.
