Kalimera Bar & Grill · Santa Rosa
A family Mediterranean table in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa.
Family-owned in Downtown Santa Rosa
Kalimera Bar & Grill is a family-owned Mediterranean restaurant at 458 B Street in the Brickyard Center, downtown Santa Rosa. Every dish is prepared from fresh ingredients under Chef Ilyas Kara, blending Greek, Turkish and wider Mediterranean traditions into a menu built for lunch, dinner and sharing.
The story
Kalimera Bar & Grill reopened at 458 B Street in the Brickyard Center, continuing a Mediterranean menu that already had a following in downtown Santa Rosa under its earlier name, Grill Santa Rosa.
Under Chef Ilyas Kara, that menu grew into Kalimera: a family-owned Mediterranean table built around house-made dips, grilled skewers, and Passport Boards inspired by Athens, Istanbul and Barcelona — created for the table to share, not for one plate at a time.
The name changed. The commitment to a personal, family-run kitchen in downtown Santa Rosa did not.

Whether it is a table of two or a catering order for eighty, the same marinade and the same grill.

03
Kofte, dips and dolma are made in-house — the kind of prep that shows up on the plate, not just on the label.
A dish that defines the kitchen
The Cabernet Braised Lamb Shank is slow-cooked until it falls from the bone, finished with a Cabernet wine reduction alongside eggplant, baby carrots, mushrooms and yellow potatoes.
It is the dish guests most often mention first — and one reason Kalimera keeps coming up when people in Santa Rosa are asked where to go for dinner.
